Down to Play (DTP) is our real-time matchmaking feature. Toggle your status to let nearby players know you're available for a game. You'll see other players who are also looking to play and can send instant game invites.
Listing and managing your venue on MahjongFinder
How do I list my venue on MahjongFinder?
You can claim an existing listing or add a new one. Go to any place page and click "Claim This Place" or use the "Add a Place" button. You'll verify ownership and then gain access to your venue dashboard where you can update hours, add photos, create events, and manage bookings.
How much does it cost to list my venue?
Basic listings are free and include your address, hours, game types, and contact info. Enhanced listings with premium placement, promoted events, and analytics are available through our Plus and Pro tiers.

Yes. Claimed venues can create and manage events directly from their dashboard. You can set up recurring game nights, one-time tournaments, or special events with RSVP tracking, QR check-in, and optional paid ticketing through Stripe.
Can I accept bookings and payments?
Yes. Venues on claimed tiers can enable table reservations with real-time availability and accept payments through our Stripe Connect integration. You receive payouts directly to your bank account.

What is the Scoring Companion?
Our built-in scoring tool tracks points round-by-round for live games. It supports American (NMJL), Riichi, Hong Kong, Chinese Classical, Taiwanese, and MCR rules with accurate scoring engines for each variant. You can also set house rule presets.

How do I find other players?
Create a profile, browse player suggestions based on your location and game preferences, and use Down to Play to signal availability. You can also discover players through events, venue check-ins, and groups.
What are Groups?
Groups are communities within MahjongFinder — mahjong clubs, leagues, social circles, or any group of players. Group admins can post updates, organize events, manage members, and communicate through group chat.
Can I message other players?
Yes. MahjongFinder has built-in messaging with direct messages, group chats, and event threads. You can start conversations with any player on the platform.
Managing your account and data
How do I create an account?
Sign up with your email address or use social login. Creating an account takes less than a minute and gives you access to all community features.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. You can delete your account from the Settings page. Your profile and personal data will be removed. Reviews you've written will be preserved anonymously to maintain community content.
How is my data used?
